Executive Body
Toronto Gay Golf Group has installed a temporary board of
directors in order that we may take care of the business side of the
group. If anyone is interested in running for or nominating
someone for any of the board positions, we will be having an annual
general meeting sometime after our year end. There will be more
information to follow on this.
| Currently the board is as follows:

President:
The President is the chief officer of the Group and calls for
and presides at all Executive meetings. The President shall be responsible to the Executive for administration
of all policies of the Executive and has full voting privileges at
all meetings. In addition, the President has the tie-breaking vote
in the event of a stalemate. The President is the chief spokesman and voting member of
the TGG for all events and activities.

Vice-President
The
Vice-President performs all duties of the President in case of
absence or disability of the President. The Vice-President assumes the President's
Chair when it is vacated before the end of term.
The Vice-President will:
- Actively seek new members
- Promote the TGG to other groups and individuals who may be
unfamiliar with the Golf Group and who represent potential members for the TGG
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate records of all meetings
- Assist with the collection of membership fees
- Provide support to all other executive positions

Secretary
The Secretary will:
- Keep an accurate record of all proceedings of the Executive
- Record, prepare and distribute the minutes of all Executive meetings
within one (l) week of the Executive meetings.
- Maintain an up-to-date file on all minutes
- Help the President in recording Speaker sequence during meetings.

Treasurer
The Treasurer will:
- Keep an accurate record of all monies received and disbursed in accordance with the Executive decisions
- Safeguard the TGG's assets
- Draw up the accounts of the TGG and present them for audit no later than the 15th of December following that year's play.
- Make available to the TGG, a monthly statement of all receipts and disbursements
- Receive a statement settling accounts for all major events no later than fifteen (15) days after the event The settling of account shall include the submission of all receipts and invoices and a written report from the organizer of the event.
- Be responsible for the timely preparing and filing of appropriate tax returns in accordance with the relevant laws
- Act as a consultant to all committees expending TGG funds.
The financial statement of TGG shall:
- Contain all receipts and disbursements
- Financial position
- Change of financial position
The Treasurer shall remain in power (along with the Treasurer-elect) and be responsible for the closing of the financial
statement for the year of his incumbency. The closing of the financial statement shall be deemed to be the issuance of an audit opinion by the TGG's Auditor and the filing of the relevant tax returns.

Events Chair
The Events Chair is responsible for:
- All facets in organizing events and tournaments, other than what is the responsibility of other elected or appointed Chairs, in which the TGG is involved.
- Raising funds through Special Events in collaborations with the Publications and Promotions Chair
- Coordination/scheduling activities for the TGG throughout the year.

Publications and
Promotion Chair
The Publications and Promotions Chair is responsible for:
- Distributing timely and unbiased communications to all TGG members. This would include TGG activities and a newsletter, which is distributed through the TGG website.
- All publications (Constitutional, and any other publications requested from the Executive)
- Coordinating promotional material, and website notices and materials with other chairs
- Fundraising

Membership
Chair The Membership Chair will be:
- Actively seeking new members
- Preparing accurate records of all members with the of TGG members for the executive and members of the TGG who require these lists
- Keeping an up-to-date of members participating in TGG events.
- Establishing and publicizing the location and dates of official TGG registrations
- Working with the Treasurer to handle any NSF cheques, and/or unpaid dues.
